Josh and I completed our move to Yuba City, CA, and then Josh readied for his first trek to western China. He partnered with a buddy from REI, Josiah, and Josh, Josiah, and Josiah's wife Hillary are trekking in China!
He left on Oct 15, and 21 hours later, he arrived in Hong Kong to stay for one night at my family's dear friends - "uncle" and "aunt" to me - before meeting up with the others and heading to China.
In our first attempt to podcast together, we recorded this interview in which I asked Josh questions about his upcoming trip and what he did to plan for it. You'll hear a shameless plug for REI and getting equipment there. Enjoy!

New Adventures in California
Well, here we go again. Kimberly and Joshua are on the move!
Kimberly has taken a job as a product development manager at Lundberg Family Farms, a farming company based in Northern California that specializes in organic rice and rice products.
For the past year, Kimberly has been traveling back and forth between Seattle and Sacramento. She would get back to Seattle at least monthly, because there were business trips to different parts of the nation, and it was as convenient to fly through Seattle as it would have been to travel through San Francisco.
Joshua has been working at REI for the past several years, and over the past year, he has been working to transfer to Sacramento's REI store. He will be transferring to the Roseville store.
In addition to the moving adventure, Joshua and Kimberly are going to spend a little bit of time in Asia.
Joshua is heading out on a trek to China on October 16. Kimberly will join him in HK for Thanksgiving. We're really looking forward to it!
